Commercial cardboard recycling in Oakleigh
Eaton Mall and the streets around it give Oakleigh a strong food identity. Cafés, bakeries, restaurants and delis on Atherton Road and Portman Street take deliveries several times a week, from flour and imported groceries to drinks and takeaway packaging. Oakleigh Central and the independent shops nearby add their own retail packaging. Most of these businesses work from old shopfronts with small rear yards or shared laneways, so there’s little room for a large bin and boxes need to go often. Oakleigh sits on Recyco’s south-east routes, close to our regular collections in Huntingdale and Clayton. A single 1100L wheelie bin collected weekly suits most food businesses here, while quieter shops can move to fortnightly pickups.
