Built around your loading dock, not our route sheet

We set your pickup day around when your deliveries land and your bin fills, not the other way round. Production sites that fill a bin every few days can go twice-weekly; retailers with one big delivery day can line pickup up with it.

The right bin for your volume

Most cafés, shops and offices fit comfortably in an 1100L wheelie bin. Warehouses, manufacturers and distributors that flatten pallets of cartons every day usually move to our 3m³ high-capacity bins so the bin is never overflowing before collection day.

Cleaner sites, lower waste bills

Cardboard is bulky and light. Left in general waste it fills skips fast and you pay landfill rates to move air. Separating it into a dedicated recycling bin frees up your general waste service and keeps loading bays, laneways and storerooms clear.

What we take

  • Corrugated cardboard boxes and cartons (OCC)
  • Shipping and delivery boxes
  • Product and retail packaging
  • Cardboard sheets, slip sheets and dividers
  • Display stands and point-of-sale cardboard
  • Cardboard tubes and cores

Please keep out

  • Wax-coated produce boxes
  • Cardboard soaked in food, oil or grease
  • Polystyrene, plastic film and strapping
  • General waste mixed through the bin

FAQ

Commercial cardboard collection FAQs

How does commercial cardboard collection work?

Recyco delivers a 1100L wheelie bin or a 3m³ high-capacity bin to your site, you fill it with flattened cardboard, and we empty it on a fixed weekly or fortnightly schedule, or whenever you call. Most south-east Melbourne businesses are quoted within 4 hours and set up within a week.

Do I need to flatten the boxes?

Yes, please. Flattened boxes take up a fraction of the space, so you fit far more into each bin and need fewer pickups.

Can you collect more than once a week?

Yes. High-volume sites can run twice-weekly or more, and anyone can call for an extra pickup when volumes spike.

Where does the cardboard go?

Every load goes to cardboard recycling, where it is pulped and made into new paper and packaging. None of it goes to landfill.

Get your cardboard sorted this week.

Tell us your suburb and roughly how much cardboard you produce. We’ll come back with a bin, a schedule and a price — usually within 4 hours.
