Commercial cardboard recycling in Ferntree Gully
Most of Ferntree Gully’s commercial cardboard comes from retail and food. Mountain Gate Shopping Centre on Ferntree Gully Road has supermarkets and specialty stores taking deliveries most days, while Ferntree Gully Village near the station is lined with cafés, takeaway shops and services working out of tight back rooms. Add the medical practices and schools spread along Burwood Highway and you get a steady stream of boxes that general waste bins weren’t designed for. Ferntree Gully is on the edge of Recyco’s south-east routes through Knox, and a scheduled pickup means cardboard leaves on a set day instead of piling up by the back door. Most businesses here run 1100L wheelie bins, with high-capacity bins available for bigger retailers.
